The confidentiality of patient information is of great importance to this practice. Along with our service provision managers, we make use of all reasonable means (e.g. latest practice manager software, staff training) to secure all data (telephonic, written and electronic).
We observe the requirements of the Data Protection Act 1998 and the data protection principles in relation to personal data. Dr Du Toit is registered as a Data Controller under the Data Protection Act. The Data Protection Act 1998 entitles you to request information held about you in the practice (a fee will however be charged for requests that extend beyond routine summaries).

Quality Assurance & Governance of Staff and Facilities
All nurses and dietitians in the practice are registered with their respective councils and are experienced in the management of childhood illness and in particular childhood allergies. All clinical staff hold valid Disclosure Barring Service Checks (previously CRB checks) for work with children in the UK.
All clinical staff in the practice undergo annual review and participate in Continuing Professional Development activities, including attendance at CPD accredited Allergy meetings and Advanced Paediatric Life Support training. We aim to comply with the principles and values on which Good Medical Practice is founded, as laid down by the UK General Medical Council.
Privacy
This site gathers no data from visitors. Google will collect data as per their site policy and as per google access procedures, this practice has no access to this information other than anonymously through the google adwords features; no data is requested by this practice from visitors hence none can be used by a third party or other companies.
This practice does not use cookies, and we have disabled the cookies function on Square Space (host of this www). Once again, we request no visitor information such as email addresses or/and contact information, names, personal or medical data.
Covid Policy
KEEPING YOU SAFE
As a result of the current pandemic, we have implemented the following screening protocols to ensure the safety of all staff, patients and service users.
On Booking you will be asked:
· Have you got a new or persistent cough?
· Do you have a fever?
· Have you lost your sense of smell or taste?
Due to social distancing, we are respectfully asking that children are only accompanied with 1 parent or carer and to not arrive more than 5 minutes prior to the appointment.
On the day:
All the premises that we work from are working extremely hard to provide safe environments to minimise the risk of transmitting the virus. They are doing this by:
maintaining social distancing
Protective Perspex sheets around reception areas
minimising your time spent in the clinic
use of PPE
disinfection after each patient interaction
Please remember that masks will need to be worn from the time you enter the building.
Complaints & Compliment Policy
Everyone has the right to expect a positive experience and a good treatment outcome. In the event of concern or complaint, service users have a right to be listened to and to be treated with respect. As an authorised provider, GDT Allergy Consulting Limited will manage complaints properly so user concerns are dealt with appropriately.
Stage 1 - Local resolution
If you are unhappy with our facilities or service, we want to know about it as soon as possible. We will then investigate the situation so that we can explain, apologise and take positive action where necessary. The person responsible for handling complaints is the Registered Manager, Professor George Du Toit and you may email him at george (at) londonallergyconsultants.com.
Please provide details of what you are unhappy about, including the date and names of any staff who were involved. Your written complaint will be acknowledged within 3 working days, unless a full response can be provided within 5 working days.
Stage 2 – Independent external review
If we are unable to reach a satisfactory local resolution, you may contact the Independent Sector Complaints Adjudication Service (ISCAS) who provide an independent complaint review service to patients/service users who remain dissatisfied.
